How long between UPS Ground Tracking updates?
I ordered a package to be delivered over UPS ground and so was scheduled to be about 5 business days for delivery. I started tracking the package when I got an email that it had shipped. For the first day, Monday, June 6th, everything seemed normal. It started in Louisville, KY, then moved on to Indiana and Illinois (still a long way off, but I expected that since the delivery date was posted as Friday the 10th).
Then the updates stopped after it left Illinois. No tracking info for over 30 hours. Is that normal? Could a package travel for that long without being scanned?
If not, what should I do?
I’ve experienced this before, and the package has arrived on time. Sometimes the system goes down, and the status isn’t updated for a period of days. It may not be updated until sometime after you actually receive your package. It’s all there though. UPS is more likely to break an item than lose it.
